Movin' On Up!

Hey kiddos, I just wanted to give you all a quick update from ThaBombShelter HQ here in Columbus, OH. Sorry for the scarcity of posts lately, life has taken a turn for the busy. With the wedding, the honeymoon, a short vacation to TN, and now a 350 mile move to Normal, IL on the horizon, it's been kind of crazy these past few weeks. As you can see from the above image, the boxes are piling up, and the crap is starting to become semi-organized. Our job isn't as monumental as it could be, we're leaving our crap TV table and the various pieces of furniture we've rescued from dumpsters over the years, and replacing much of it with particle-board masterpieces from the Bolingbrook, IL Ikea.

Our house is so awesome we just can't wait to be there and get started! We've got room for a dedicated office (I'll actually be telecommuting to the Cube Farm from Normal, w00t!) which means no more distracted, couch bound posts :-D. I'm anticipating this move and change will give me the chance to return ThaBombShelter to the frequency and normalcy of the halcyon days of it's youth. I've been working for you all here for over two years now, and I'd love to have the same kind of consistency and quality you all started reading us for in the first place.

So please, bear with me for the next few weeks. Emily and I will be in Normal, IL on Wednesday July, 30th, so if you're from the Bloomington/Normal area, please send me an email thabombshelter [at] gmail [dot] com so we can hang out! I won't know anyone, and since I'm telecommuting, that kind of eliminates the prospect of meeting new co-workers, which means I'm in the market for some new friends.

In the meantime, enjoy these fun tunes. Hopefully these Pulp songs are new to you, recorded for a John Peel (rip) session years ago. They're some of my fave Pulp tunes, so I hope you like them.

"Do You Remember the First Time (Peel Sessions)" Pulp
"Pink Glove (Peel Sessions)" Pulp
"Packing Blankets" Eels (I had to have some kind of packing song, right?)
