Happy St. Patrick's Day from ThaBombShelter

It's March 17th and before I go out to celebrate my one day of being Irish with a pint of the cold, dark stuff, I thought I would leave you all with some fun tracks in the spirit of the festivities. I'd also like to wish my sister a Happy Birthday (she's 27 today, and yes, her birthday really is St. Pat's).

I actually visited the Guinness brewery a few years ago in Dublin, took the tour and all that, and at the very end of the tour they give you a complimentary pint of Guinness at the highest bar in Dublin, the Gravity Bar. At that point I hadn't really been a big fan of the stuff, but the second that smooth, creamy head hit my lips (complete with a shamrock in the foam) I was hooked. It was (and still is) the most delicious beverage I have ever consumed. It's better than Diet Coke, Newcastle, coffee, tea, milk, anything. I only wish it tasted the same here as it did over there, unfortunately, with pasteurization and the nitrogen widget the taste changes drastically, adding a distinctly metallic twinge to the tail end of it. In Ireland, this minor aftertaste is completely gone, and all you're left with is a deliciously smooth, creamy, sweet beverage. Ambrosia, if you will.

So go out there, wear some green (or play some of these Irish flavored tunes), drink a pint for me, have fun, and please, be safe.
